Elbow-Rake
Particularly suited for dual-wielding, an elbowrake is composed of two sharpened stakes riveted upon a pair of leather-bound handles. Elbowrakes are typically fashioned from bone, but variants built from bamboo or wooden planks reinforced with sharp iron edges offer a popular alternative. These light, easily-swung weapons are held lengthways across a warrior’s bicep, with the rake’s sharpened points running parallel to the user’s forearm. A warrior swings the elbow-rake in an arched fashion, impaling enemies upon the weapon’s brutally-sharp points. Elbowrakes are comparatively brittle compared with other, sturdier weapons, so metallic plates are often nailed upon each of the stake’s sharpened points to lessen the chances of snapping against heavily-armoured opponents. In addition, these iron supports compliment the elbowrake’s penetration, delivering the stakes even deeper through a creature’s flesh.
