Pronunciation: “Al-vann-nash”
Plural: “Alvanashi” (pronounced “al-vann-nah-shy”)
Another weapon developed and wielded by the despicable crovalahn, an alvanash is a four-pronged metal staff measuring between 6-8’ in length, and requires exceptional skill to wield properly. Both ends of the alvanash sport a pair of spearheaded prongs, protruding in opposite directions from the weapon’s central shaft. These strange weapons are swung in fast, spinning circular motions that rake a victim’s flesh with each end of the alvanash’s shaft. A warrior’s reflexes must be quick, twisting the weapon away every time it opens a wound, bringing the alvanash’s other end for a follow-up strike. Alvanashi are typically a crovalahn weapon, although the impressive techniques and spectacular designs that’re experimented with this awkward weapon has made it a popular weapon amidst many cultures, particularly the dexterous galagi. With their four arms, selynah have even less trouble then other species when carrying the alvanash into battle, who’re feared and respected for their daunting techniques when using double-edged weapons. Few sights are as inspiring to allies (and terrifying to enemies), then an armour-clad selynah ploughing through ranks with a 30’-long alvanash, amassing impaled corpses upon the weapon’s bloodstained prongs as it strides over the battlefield.
