Armour While a crucial aspect to keeping one's hide intact, armour can be both a boon and a bane, depending on circumstances. Without ample protection, even the heartiest warrior would eventually succumb from bleeding wounds and exposure to harsh environments. By the same token, heavy and powerfully-built armour isn't always a wise choice; long-term use will eventually wear a user down, and only athletic individuals can ever wear cumbersome armour suits comfortably. The choice of which armour to use is dependant on an individual's preferences, but all should protect their wearer in some way against the freezing climates of the hostile forests, the cutting blade of an enemy's weapon, and shield them against everything that would otherwise threaten to overwhelm an unarmoured creature. While important to ensuring one's survival, one must remember that the heaviest armour isn't always the best. Some individuals aren't suited to wearing armour, such as scouts and stealth experts. Particularly dexterious individuals are perfectly able to evade injury by relying on their own instincts, agility and swift movements. Others trust their weapon skill, parrying and blocking an adversary's weapon with their own. In any case, wearing cumbersome armour can hamper one's abilities... and choosing the right armour should be a careful decision. |
